Anhura Vinyl’s debut in the exclusive and acclaimed vinyl edition is, as it was expected, a complete success. Max Chapman & Aj Christou are in charge of “Gruds & Kecks”. This release starts with a moderate disco house nearly background melody at some points, and evolves into more tech grounds which plunge us directly in a deep, retro-spatial sphere. A place where this electronic and bass sounds coming from the 80s’ and 90s’ provide it with amazing timelessness whenever it is heard. It is an uncommon release diverging from the mainstream and ideal to start a completely promising series.

Sishi Rosch takes “Gruds & Kecks” into the electronic house lands. As in the previous case, he furnishes it with speed and risk, concretion regarding its percussive development. Always maintaining its electronic melody, he seems to want to direct it to the club scene, and he undoubtedly makes it.

Max Chapman & Aj Christou’s second track follows “Gruds & Kecks” disco house line. “Agwa” contains the characteristic spatial and percussive elements from the 80s’, as well as an outstanding electro presence and weight. We could say that these two tracks are like well matched brothers as some elements reappear, those which does not give us any clue about the creation date and their real intentions.

Finally, “Agwa” remix by Miguel Puente conserves its vintage foundation and mysterious groove, but he provides it with some – and almost necessary- bmps to be enjoyed in any dance floor. Those funky sounds, the appropriate synthetic bass and the blurred and faltering voices make it different from the original and take it to an even less concrete sphere, if that’s possible. Elements which make it specially interesting and well constructed.

For the label’s 14th release, Memento welcomes the collaboration of Italy’s finest house enthusiasts Pastaboys, who bring their love of dance music’s black roots and afro-american soul sounds, combined with an exquisite european-influenced sense of rhythm and melodies. “Tresca” evolves around a sweet italo-disco bass that sends the listener back to the 70s: a soundtrack to a sleazy underground movie, with nightmare-ish synth chords in the background.

Strong claps and percussion build the tension up to a Donna Summer-esque break, leading the track to an anthemic climax ready to shake the asses of all the party people out there.

Argy’s remix adds loopy vocal samples while making the bass more muscular and playing with retro-sounding big-room house synths, perfectly matching the spirit of the original cut but at the same time taking it to the next level. A specta cular two-tracker, which stands out as a devoted tribute to the legacy that shaped the history of house and disco music, from turning inspiration into a brilliant and contemporary piece of work.

Luca Lozano presents KLSUNDERGROUND001 is Klasse Recordings’ first foray into the various artists compilation field, a small but perfectly formed EP consisting of five tracks from various family members and extended homeboys. The idea behind the series is to take the focus back to the music, the EP aims to concentrate on tracks that are made with passion, pride and belief. Music that will stand the test of time against the torrent of seemingly endless throwaway material that floods our inbox day by day. The tracks on the EP speak for themselves, so I will do away with the usual wacky metaphors and just urge you to give them a listen. Thanks goes to Mr. Ho, Red Axes, Viadrina, Jordan Peak and Anders Hellberg for providing the music and a special thanks goes to the latter three for joining the Klasse family and being part of our new series. Amor Fati, born in Hamburg is linked to the club life since the beginning of the 90s. No matter if it’s in the Tresor, the E-Werk or the Omen, Detroit, Techno Chicago House and the Frankfurt Sound inspired him as well as the freedom linked with it.
Since that time Amor Fati produces under the name ‘Buttha’ and released several of his songs under a different name at Contentismissing Rec.
In the last years he spent a lot of time on Ibiza and let himself be inspired by the nature and the spirit of the island.
2012 Amor Fati starts the labels BlackisBlack Rec. and Träumer&Tänzer Rec. to be able to release his songs independently and offer a platform to young artists.
