Anhura Vinyl’s debut in the exclusive and acclaimed vinyl edition is, as it was expected, a complete success. Max Chapman & Aj Christou are in charge of “Gruds & Kecks”. This release starts with a moderate disco house nearly background melody at some points, and evolves into more tech grounds which plunge us directly in a deep, retro-spatial sphere. A place where this electronic and bass sounds coming from the 80s’ and 90s’ provide it with amazing timelessness whenever it is heard. It is an uncommon release diverging from the mainstream and ideal to start a completely promising series.

Sishi Rosch takes “Gruds & Kecks” into the electronic house lands. As in the previous case, he furnishes it with speed and risk, concretion regarding its percussive development. Always maintaining its electronic melody, he seems to want to direct it to the club scene, and he undoubtedly makes it.

Max Chapman & Aj Christou’s second track follows “Gruds & Kecks” disco house line. “Agwa” contains the characteristic spatial and percussive elements from the 80s’, as well as an outstanding electro presence and weight. We could say that these two tracks are like well matched brothers as some elements reappear, those which does not give us any clue about the creation date and their real intentions.

Finally, “Agwa” remix by Miguel Puente conserves its vintage foundation and mysterious groove, but he provides it with some – and almost necessary- bmps to be enjoyed in any dance floor. Those funky sounds, the appropriate synthetic bass and the blurred and faltering voices make it different from the original and take it to an even less concrete sphere, if that’s possible. Elements which make it specially interesting and well constructed.

“GRASSWAXX RECORDINGS,” a leading label in Japan’s underground music scene, is releasing the label’s host, RAWFILA’s original track “gravity” and “debris” on side A. On side B, are the best sound quality Techno remix’s by a
track maker, “A.MOCHI”, who is now praised by world class top DJ’s, and is famous for his releases from LEN FAKI’s label, “Figure.”

Side A by RAWFILA is consisted of, “gravity,” a dope minimal track, from a combination of soft noise and hypno parts, with a stoic roaring beat that accelerates with a metallic dub effect, and “debris,” an Industrial Techno track with an edged dope synth.  Side B with “A.MOCHI’s” remix of “gravity,” a masterpiece of dangerous deep dub techno, is created with his trademark of uncompromising bass and heavy percussion.  The dubby bass creates a psychedelic, three dimensional sound image you will never forget.

Kumia is the title of the 13th release from International Sound Laboratory and is written and produced by ISL artist Tuomas Salmela aka Phonogenic. “Kumia” connects the sound of his previous release, “Artifacts” with the continuation of the latest developments from our Finnish collaboration laboratory in Tampere, Finland. This time we also sent a sample to specialist researcher Samuli Kemppi, who also is involved with heavy duty works on labels such as Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver.

This is blueform, a sublabel of melted recordings, with it’s first release – made by Random Audio. In order to assort different variations of techno blueform was founded as the first official sublabel of melted recordings, although small labels aside of melted were started so far. Blueform stands for real classic detroit techno as we know and love it for many years. Very famous protagonists, especially from the US formed this spacy, retro-futuristic and/or chordish sound – a special state of mind. Random Audio reflects these characteristics with his tracks of the hologram EP. He is an important part of the futuredraht community, he has produced many tracks of various styles – mostly (but not only) techno – and even now he had just his second track on melted recordings under another alias, this is his first own (vinyl | digitally worldwide distributed) release. The first track “Fourier Transmatica” brings us back with a pulsating sound into the late nineties of detroit techno. The chords, melodies and pads in “Downtown” fit exactly to the sound of “the motor city”. “The Model” goes right into the science fiction side of techno using creaky blips and old string sounds and finally “The Mask” seems to build itself up with bubbling tones again and again. Watch out for the next big release of Random Audio very soon!

The CL interpretations, based on the sixth melted recordings release CL Versions of Echtzeit, were firstly divided into two sucessful releases: part 1 and 2. Now that more artists of circle of friends of melted have done their own interpretations, a third part was released. This time all tracks were based on the same track “three”, but now with a wide-spread spectrum of techno – from melodic, deep and dubtech to harder, diffused and current state of the art techno. “Monomood”, known from the melted recordings friended label Etui Records, starts with his constructive warm and melodic rebuild called “3cl of echo”. Also AError is here into deep dubtechno, much different as his last version of part 1. “Sector” varied his track for part 1 into a more deep dub but kicking techno track Terminals RMX”. “Bassart”, an austrian techno and electro DJ, comes a with highly diffused hard techno interpretation – his first vinyl appearance. It is the first techno track (called “Cotta Re-Dub”) of “Bons” on vinyl, too. He is in the circle of friends and supporter of melted for many years, since the start in 1999.

After his debut on Affin last year with Busker, Chris Page returns with the Used EP. While the Busker EP played around with dubby chord stabs, Used is an altogether darker beast. The slowly-building, gentle acidic groove of the title track sets the tone of the release. Tatoo follows up proceedings with an overdriven bassline, which simmers away underneath convulsing distorted stabs. Finally, Affin welcomes Mattias Fridell.
